Hello, I am Peter Saccomanno, your candidate for
District 2 City Council. As your City
Councilman, I will change Pensacola for the better. I
will focus on economic prosperity for Pensacola and
Escambia County. I will work with the City Council, as
well as our State government, to change the laws to
offer better economic packages for businesses to
relocate here, much like Alabama currently does.
I want to have a place where we can
all prosper, a place where our children can live and
find good paying jobs as they become the next
generation of young adults.
Please join us in this campaign to bring
"Prosperity For Pensacola." It's more than just a
campaign, it's a dedication to our future and
economic prosperity. Click on the "Speak Out
Pensacola" link for more information. We will take
your ideas to the highest levels of our State
government.
Though I have many great ideas for Pensacola, I
will primarily focus my efforts and resources to the
following:
Bring Businesses To
Pensacola: As your City
Councilman, I will work with the Pensacola Chamber
of Commerce to bring businesses to Pensacola. We
will petition the State Legislature to change
existing laws that will attract and retain new
businesses. Escambia County is one of the poorest
counties in the State of Florida and is losing to
our neighboring states, like Alabama, while
the rest of Florida prospers.

National & Local Tourism
Campaign As your City Councilman
, I will work hard with local officials and national
and local marketing firms to promote
Pensacola nationally, the Nation's first founded
settlement, and to Pensacola Beach , the whitest,
most beautiful beaches in the world.
We need to work to make Pensacola a premier
destination for family cruises.

Revitalize District
2 As your City Councilman, I
will work with the Council to restore 12th Avenue,
9th Avenue, Creighton Road and Bayou Boulevard.
These are high traffic areas and we want these to
coincide with the look of downtown Pensacola.
As your city councilman, I will propose that
when the Waste Treatment plant moves, we lease the
land to a company that will build a family water
park. This will be done at no cost to the City, plus
it will increase jobs, revenue and tourism.(more)
Catastrophic
Insurance Fund For Homeowners
We need to push for legislation that will create a
catastrophic insurance fund for homeowners
in the State of Florida. Doing so will save
homeowners thousands of dollars each year in
homeowners insurance and will allow for more
insurance carriers to enter into the Florida market.

My
son-in-law, Peter Saccomanno, is running for City
Council District 2 against Sam Hall. I really
believe he will do an outstanding job for our city.
Mama Gail and I appreciate your vote and financial
support.
